The conference will take place on 28 November, at the Zemgale Region Human Resource and Competences Development Centre, Svētes iela 33, Jelgava. Starting at 11.00 am
The progress towards indicators set in the 2015-2020 guidelines for the forest and related sectors, as well as debates on the future support required from EU funds for forest owners, will be the main topics at this year's Forestry Industry Conference, which will be held in Jelgava on 28 November.
The conference will also provide the latest information on the mapping of EU-significant habitats on forest land, and the national development finance institution ALTUM will provide information on the support available to businesses in the forest sector.
The Minister of Agriculture will participate in the event, and there will also be presentations from representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture's Forest Department, the State Forest Service, LVMI “Silava”, the Forest Owners' Association of Latvia and the LLKC Forest Consultation Services Centre.
Forest owners, managers, forestry entrepreneurs, those employed in the sector and other interested parties are invited to attend the conference.
