Thousands of farmers, many of them driving tractors, took part in a protest event held in a field opposite the centre of The Hague. According to local police, around 2,200 participants joined the protest.

Every farmer felt the same frustration and dissatisfaction as the others: their work and way of life are under attack by the government, which is masking its desire to achieve "climate goals".

"Suddenly everyone is worried! The media insults us and describes us with nasty words, we are blamed for climate change, but... aeroplanes are worse than farmers! No one talks about that..." 17-year-old farmer Vincent told journalists.
