... in the second half of 2021, Slovenia, holding the presidency of the Council of the EU, presented the presidency's programme of activities in agriculture and fisheries to the Council.

Member states shared their views at the Council meeting and approved the Council conclusions on the action plan for the development of organic production. Latvia supports the Council's conclusions and has so far provided targeted support for the development of the organic sector from Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) funding, and intends to continue dedicating special support to organic farming from CAP funds in the future. New support for the conversion of conventional farmers to organic farming is also planned.
