The "European Green Deal" is presented today as a modern renaissance, a breath of fresh air in a smog-filled city, a long-awaited awakening after decades of filth, greed and blatant malice. The uncompromising implementation of the "Green Deal" is the only way to achieve complete social justice and a green economic boom. At least that is what politicians claim.

Agriculture is no exception. A scene is conjured up where greedy holding owners keep cows tethered, shove GMO soy in one end, pull milk out the other, and pump antibiotics and hormones in through the side. Wild tractors with huge sprayers pour "poisons" left and right, leaving no living soul in their wake, just to squeeze out every last kilogram of vegetable or grain yield. Slogans are loudly postulated that we are on the brink of disaster, that the land is turning into a desert, that only a few harvest years remain and that every litre of "real" milk consumed is a giant stride towards the destruction of the Earth. However, neither industry professionals nor serious scientists can agree with this stirred-up storm and hysteria.
