How is it that a plan to protect 30% of the planet's territory by 2030 is bad news for indigenous people?

Since 14 March, a plan to protect 30% of the planet's surface by 2030 has been under discussion in Geneva. If an agreement is reached, the plan will be approved (ratified) within this year.

Although this plan is being "pushed" by governments and large, international so-called "nature conservation" NGOs to supposedly address the climate and biodiversity crisis, a significant number of other organisations and professionals oppose the 30x30 plan. What is so controversial about this plan?

The biggest land grab in the history of civilisation

According to the organisation Survival International, which advocates for indigenous rights, 30x30 will be the biggest land grab in known history.
