In Latvia, a problem is becoming increasingly apparent that tends to be masked by rule of law, democracy, and other sufficiently beautiful, but in many cases – empty words. The rather popular mania for restriction and prohibition could be quite successfully cured if very specific and clear accountability and action were demanded from the initiators of such bans and restrictions.
