ZAZA TIMBER's first achievement in Sweden – we have built a wooden bridge!
The 65-metre-long wooden bridge over the Tinnerbäcken (Tinnerbäcken) river in Linköping (Linköping) is intended for pedestrians and cyclists.
General contractor NCC will pave the bridge deck with asphalt, install lighting, and landscape the surrounding area (etc.), so that the bridge can be handed over to the client – Linköping Municipality. Its opening is planned for July.
ZAZA TIMBER carried out the manufacturing of the glued timber structures and the construction of the bridge's wooden elements. Part of the work took place in Latvia – we transported the 29.5 m long bridge sides to Sweden already assembled.
We built the bridge sides and supports from 84 m³ of longitudinally glued timber structures manufactured at our factory in Jelgava municipality, and the bridge deck from 40 m³ of cross-laminated timber panels. We used 11.53 t of metal components.
