Why a Tesla owner would no longer buy a car from Elon Musk

Hansjörg-Eberhard Freiherr von Gemmingen-Hornberg (Hansjörg-Eberhard Freiherr von Gemmingen-Hornberg) has driven approximately 1.7 million kilometres in his Tesla Model S. Dozens of motors have worn out during the car's operation. However, he also wants to switch for other reasons.

News about Hansjörg-Eberhard Freiherr von Gemmingen-Hornberg appears in the media from time to time in connection with various records, for instance, last June after reaching 1.6 million kilometres. This time, attention is focused on the German's revelations about the quality of Tesla and the manufacturer's attitude as a whole.

The 2014 Tesla Model S, which von Gemmingen-Hornberg purchased brand new, has undergone 12 motor and three battery replacements during this time. Although all repairs were carried out free of charge based on the eight-year warranty, the German has announced that he will never buy a Tesla again.

The record-breaker explained that he is fed up with the regular motor changes and claims that Tesla likely knows about this problem but does not bother to explain anything more to him. The man is also frustrated by Elon Musk's attitude, who only congratulated him on reaching a million kilometres after a year, by posting a couple of emojis on his social media site.

Von Gemmingen-Hornberg plans to drive this car until he reaches 2 million kilometres and then purchase a new electric vehicle. It will not be a Tesla, however, so he is considering the option of a Porsche Taycan or a Mercedes EQS.
