After conducting DNA tests, biologists have concluded that the greater glider (Petauroides volans) found in Australia, also known as the giant gliding possum, actually consists of three distinct species.
Like koalas, the possums' diet consists of eucalyptus. Unlike koalas, however, gliding possums are capable of travelling through the air for distances of up to 100 metres.
