The US Securities and Exchange Commission's requirement for companies to provide information on how to address climate change is based on the false assumption that an extreme climate situation exists due to carbon dioxide emissions resulting from human activity.

To quote Dr William Happer, Professor Emeritus of Physics at Princeton University: “There is no climate crisis. There will be no climate crisis. It is absolute nonsense.”

There are thousands of scientists and tens of thousands of papers that dispute the so-called consensus that the planet is dangerously warming. Some facts that many scientists have confirmed from different viewpoints, including astrophysics, atmospheric science, climatology, engineering, geology, meteorology, palaeontology, physics, etc.:
1. There is no “climate crisis” and there is no evidence that there will be one.
2. Today’s warming is neither unusual nor unprecedented.
3. Geological data show that most of the last 10,000 years were warmer than the current period.
4. During the Medieval Warm Period (a thousand years ago), Vikings in Greenland grew barley, which cannot be grown there today.
5. In the earlier Roman Warm Period, citrus trees grew in Northern England.
6. Modern warming began more than 300 years ago, well before the rise in CO2 emissions in the 20th century. Carbon dioxide, the gas alleged to be the cause of warming, is non-toxic and harmless.
7. Although carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, it is in some ways weak, being “overshadowed” by other gases such as water vapour. Water vapour is the dominant greenhouse gas, the concentration of which in the
atmosphere is 100 times greater and is easily visible as clouds.
8. Before the recent increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide, CO2 had dangerously declined to levels at which plants cannot survive. An increase in carbon dioxide above that historically low level is good for the planet’s ecosystems and for humanity.
9. Radical proposals to replace fossil fuels with unreliable energy technologies, such as wind turbines and solar panels, are absurd, dangerous and environmentally unfriendly. Too much “unreliable” wind and solar power on the grid makes us vulnerable to serious power outages, as was proven in Texas in February.

Modern industry, “fuelled” by coal, oil and natural gas, has created prosperity and longer lives for humans. Affordable, reliable energy is key to lifting billions more people out of third-world poverty and improving private lives. These fuels, together with nuclear energy, provide 85% of the energy used in the world today and will continue to be the dominant energy sources for decades to come.
