ZAZA Timber brand created

Focusing their operations on the export market, three Latvian companies—IKTK, Rodentia and Igate Būve—have created a new brand, ZAZA TIMBER, and changed their company names. The new name for IKTK is ZAZA TIMBER Production, for Rodentia it is ZAZA TIMBER Engineering, and for Igate Būve it is ZAZA TIMBER Construction.

The companies operate in Latvia and other European countries, specialising in the production and design of glued timber structures and the construction of timber buildings. Their clients include architects, structural engineers and builders in Latvia and elsewhere in Europe.

The companies under the ZAZA TIMBER brand began operations in 2015. Initially, a production facility for glued timber structures was established, followed by the development of design and construction expertise.

Jelgava region-based ZAZA TIMBER Production (formerly IKTK) has manufactured glued timber structures for transport, pedestrian and ski bridges, industrial, office and residential buildings, schools, churches, sports facilities, restaurants, hotels, concert halls, and fuel and electric vehicle charging stations. These are located in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, the USA, South Korea, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain.

Among the structures built in Latvia, the company has manufactured glued timber structures for the pedestrian bridge over the highway near Tērvetes Dabas parks, the roofs for the “Mītava” open-air concert hall and ice rink in Jelgava, transport bridges in Jaunpils and Ječupe, bandstands in Penkule and Krimūnas, the “Latvijas Valsts meži” office in Dundaga, the Talsi library, and other structures. The company has also carried out a unique production project for the Mežaparks Open-Air Stage, manufacturing large-scale spherical (3D) acoustic panels from timber.
