The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)) and Finland have signed an agreement to work together to build capacity in countries around the world, particularly in Africa, regarding forest resource management and data processing. This agreement outlines a 7 million USD plan aimed at "forest data accuracy, availability and clarity", specifically for the better monitoring and management of forest resources, and the project will last for four years. Finland's contribution is set at 2.3 million USD.
