On the 25 km section, traffic is being managed using road signs and delineators, with a maximum speed limit of 70 km/h, reduced to 50 km/h at the work site. From 6 July, asphalt milling will begin, and a temporary traffic light system will be introduced. Currently, drivers should allow 40 minutes to clear this section, but as the scope of work and restrictions increase, motorists should factor in more time to pass through the construction zone.

As part of the construction work, levelling of the asphalt surface will be carried out, followed by the laying of a new wearing course. Outside of built-up areas, acoustic rumble strips will be installed along the centre line, and necessary repairs will be made to existing culverts, a wildlife tunnel, and the bridge over the Brasla river. The road surface in this section was last rebuilt in 2013.

The construction work also includes the maintenance of 425 trees, which involves crown shaping and the removal of dead branches. Furthermore, 60 trees that pose a danger to traffic within the road reserve will be felled. Permission for the tree felling has been received from the Sigulda municipality. The list of trees to be removed includes those that threaten the safety of road users due to their proximity to the carriageway, those leaning towards the road, and those that are partially dead, have damaged trunks, broken or hanging branches, or hollows, etc.
