The "Smart Village" recognition status has been awarded to Alsunga, Bebrene, the coastal area of Engure, Kaldabruņa, Kākciems, Jaunpils, Briežuciems, Skujene, Jaunmuiža, Gārsene, Krimūnas parish, Ziemupe, Ancene, Bernāti, Krapes muiža, Lēdurga, the Mežinieki neighbourhood community, and Upīte.
