Jordanian architect Deema Assaf (Deema Assaf) worked for ten years in Jordan's capital, Amman. As time went on, the work she had previously taken pride in forced her to keep reassessing the situation. What was the reason for this? In 2017, she was working on a project in a nature reserve in northern Jordan, where Deema Assaf had to delve into various environmental issues. As it turned out, Jordan has many forests inhabited by elephants, rhinoceroses, and Asiatic lions, all of which have adapted well and coexist with humans. What she saw in northern Jordan led the architect to rethink what she had known until now and to view both the landscape and human impact upon it in a different light.
