To strengthen the representation of industry interests, a presidium has been established within the Latvian Forest Industry Federation. Alongside the organisation's president Indulis Kovisārs, two vice-presidents will serve: SIA Krauzers Chairman of the Board Andis Araks and the federation's former executive director Kristaps Klauss, who will be succeeded in this role by Artūrs Bukonts.
This was decided at the general meeting of the Latvian Forest Industry Federation (LKF).
The goal of these changes is to supplement the LKF leadership team with experienced forestry professionals tasked with both regularly overseeing LKF's work and participating in advocacy. The presidium will consist of the LKF president, Indulis Kovisārs, who has been re-elected, and two vice-presidents – Andis Araks and Kristaps Klauss.
