Accredited Russian lobbyists will no longer be permitted to enter the European Parliament (EP). EP President Roberta Metsola announced her intention for these accreditations to be revoked during a meeting of the Parliament's political group leaders on Thursday (2 June). Co-chair of the Greens group, Philippe Lamberts (Philippe Lamberts), welcomed the move.
“We thank President Metsola for acting on our request to revoke the accreditation of Russian lobbyists in the European Parliament. We cannot accept that representatives of a country fuelling warfare should be given the opportunity to influence our policy and decisions,” stated the email. F.
