Forest Europe is an organisation (association) previously known as the Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe (MCPFE). Established on 18 December 1990, it is the highest-level political institution in Europe that develops a unified strategy for sustainable forest management, including forest protection, across its 47 member states (46 European countries and the European Union).
