VAS “Latvijas valsts meži” is holding a tender for the lease of land and subsoil usage rights in the “Žagatu-Skuškavas purvs” peat deposit located in the Gaigalava parish of Rēzekne municipality, according to information in the official publication “Latvijas Vēstnesis”.

The total area offered for lease is 96.4 hectares, including 90.66 hectares offered for peat extraction. The starting rent for the extraction of mineral resources is 42 euros per hectare per year.

Offers may be submitted until 11:00 on 8 November this year.
