The Competition Council (KP), in cooperation with the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK), invites you to participate in the campaign “The Most Senseless Barrier to Competition – 2021”, which encourages the submission of unjustified barriers to competition arising from the actions of public entities – the state, municipalities, and their capital companies.The aim of the campaign is to identify obstacles to fair competition and encourage their removal, thereby promoting competitive neutrality and economic growth.

An unjustified barrier to competition may be considered as the creation of advantages for one's own capital company, drafting of regulations or laws that provide competitive advantages to one specific enterprise and thus prevent new companies from entering the market or force existing ones out, as well as other actions by public entities that hinder the operation of companies in the market.
