Purposefully expanding its export market geography, one of Latvia's leading timber industry companies, Stiga RM, is beginning exports to Australia. High-quality birch plywood produced in Latvia will be used in the construction of rock climbing walls, and the delivery of the first shipment is planned for this year.

“Currently, the volume of trade between Australia and Latvia shows a growing trend, and wood products are one of the three largest groups of Latvian export goods. We are pleased to continue this positive trend by commencing cooperation with one of the leading climbing wall designers and installers in Australia and the Asia region. Thanks to the quality and durability of our products, as well as our experience and capability in order fulfilment, we see that this direction has the potential to become another regular delivery destination,” says Stiga RM plywood factory director Viesturs Krēvics.

Currently, the company exports products manufactured at the Stiga RM Kuldīga plywood factory to more than 50 countries worldwide. The largest sales market this year is Germany, the second largest export country by volume is Great Britain, and the third is the USA. Alongside these countries, the company's export map includes the Netherlands, Poland, Italy, the Czech Republic, the Baltic states, as well as other Central and Northern European countries. More than 90% of the production manufactured by Stiga RM is exported.
