“Touching wood, one could say that the pandemic has had relatively little impact on the forestry sector in terms of morbidity – although there were individual companies that had to temporarily halt production, the sector as a whole has suffered more from decision-makers than from the virus itself,” is how Artūrs Bukonts, Executive Director of the Latvian Association of Independent Timber Harvesters and the Latvian Timber Producers and Exporters Association, describes the outgoing year.
