As the “Nutrinflow” project implemented by the Zemgale Planning Region (ZPR) approaches its conclusion, three seminars are planned on innovative solutions for land drainage and the construction and renovation of infiltration systems in Zemgale, reports ZPR representative Aigars Ieviņš.
To encourage dialogue between stakeholders, landowners, aspiring drainage system engineers and civil servants, and to raise awareness of the need to work towards a unified vision for maintaining and developing an orderly environment, three seminars will take place in Dobele, Aizkraukle and Jelgava.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the implementation of national and EU support policies in land drainage, as well as “Nutrinflow” project activities and LLU's innovative water management projects. Each seminar will be complemented by a field visit to various areas, demonstrating successful solutions in practice that are mutually beneficial to society and landowners.
The seminars will take place on 6 November in Dobele, 7 November in Aizkraukle and 8 November in Jelgava. Those interested in attending are invited to register by writing to “Nutrinflow” project representative Edgars Paulovičs (Edgars.Paulovics@zpr.gov.lv).
