Roberts Strīpnieks to continue the LATRAPS success story

Roberts Strīpnieks will continue the success story of LATRAPS, which was started by Edgars Ruža.

The Chairman of the Council of the agricultural service cooperative society LATRAPS, Valters Bruss, has announced that the next head of LATRAPS will be Roberts Strīpnieks, the former Chairman of the Board of a/s “Latvijas valsts meži”.

Changes in the board of Latvia's largest agricultural company LATRAPS will take effect from 17 January 2022, as its founder and long-standing leader Edgars Ruža announced last week his decision to focus exclusively on strategy and development projects in the future.

“LATRAPS is a success story not only for the sector but for Latvia as a whole. This has been achieved through a strategic vision for the future, innovation and challenges, and excellent management of our joint business,” says Valters Bruss, Chairman of the LATRAPS Council. “We have grown to a scale that requires the separation of operational management and development management. Therefore, I am very pleased that we have recruited an extremely strong and intelligent leader for operational management, Roberts Strīpnieks, while Edgars Ruža continues his work in the field of strategy and development on both existing and new projects. The achievements of both these leaders speak for themselves. LATRAPS is becoming even stronger!” says Valters Bruss.
