In the west of Sēlija, across the territories of Zalve, Sauka, Viesīte, Daudzeva and Sece parishes, where the new Zalve military training ground is planned to be established, the majority of the property is currently owned by “Latvijas valsts meži”, but 81 land plots covering an area of 1072.78 hectares will be expropriated from private owners, and economic activity will no longer be permitted there.
