In all corners of the world, on the stage of economic processes – and challenges simultaneously – higher inflation has begun to play one of the leading roles with increasing persistence. Much evidence suggests that some of its highest points are still to come.

Often, the leap in energy prices is more responsible for such a rapid rise in current general consumer prices. Admittedly, food prices are not standing still either, for example. They are fuelled both by that same increase in energy resource prices and, for instance, concerns that poor harvests of several key food commodities will be observed in the future.
