I have also played computer games, but they have made me smile, knowing what weapons are actually capable of. Even just a sawn-off shotgun, which you hold in one hand in the game. In real life, knowing the power of that very shotgun, I already knew then that it was impossible. It immediately connected for me with reality because we had hunting weapons at home. But a young person who does not have such opportunities gets the wrong impression. And then the game can be started over. These people, as you rightly say, do not understand how narrow the boundary is between being and not being. What is before and what is after pulling the trigger. A hunter and their children know how irreversible a process it is, for which one must make a decision to initiate. A decision for the consequences of which one must take responsibility. Always! And when you understand that, you treat even your own life differently, being aware of its value.
Of course, a few of my friends consider me completely mad, perhaps going a step further than seems acceptable. But I know how far I am allowed to go. Yes, perhaps sometimes there is a desire to know if you can take another step. We are all driven by a spirit of adventure and discovery, aren't we!
