From 1 January 2022, Malnava College will be integrated into the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LLU) as a university of science. Both parties have agreed on this to ensure continuity in agricultural and related sectoral education and to promote the socio-economic activity of rural areas. Furthermore, for the college, this will be a significant step towards faster development and the provision of new opportunities for its students and graduates.

Malnava College is one of the institutions with the richest traditions in secondary and level 1 higher agricultural education in Latvia. This year, the college celebrated its centenary, and it offers secondary vocational and level 1 professional higher education programmes in agricultural mechanisation and road transport, crop production, animal husbandry, horticulture, and agricultural business. The college possesses an extensive material and technical base, allowing young people who have finished 9th or 12th grade to develop strong skills and competencies for work in companies related to agricultural activities. Currently, more than 450 pupils and students are studying in various programmes at Malnava.
