At the end of last week – on 20 September – Riga hosted the “Baltijas Zīmolu forums”, or “Baltic Brand Forum”, at which the most loved, greenest, most humane, most sought-after and fastest-growing brands in the Baltics were announced on the basis of public opinion. For the seventh year running, AS “Latvijas valsts meži” (LVM) has managed to retain its leading position as Latvia's greenest brand, as well as taking 2nd place among Latvia's most humane brands.
“Every “Latvijas valsts meži” employee and every Latvian resident can take pride in the fact that for 25 years now the state forests have been managed responsibly and sustainably, strengthening the national economy and serving a wide range of public interests. This year's greenest brand award and second-place recognition as the most humane brand confirm that the public holds our everyday work in high regard. We are grateful for that, and we will continue our work with the same great sense of responsibility, building a flourishing Latvia!” says Tomass Kotovičs, Head of the LVM Communications Department.
The ranking of Latvia's greenest brands also included “Madara”, “Seal”, “Ikea” and “Humana”, while “Swedbank” was named Latvia's most humane brand.
In 2024 the “Baltic Brand Forum” was held for the 20th time, bringing together international industry specialists and hosting panel discussions on the role of humour in marketing.
“Brand Capital” is currently the most extensive brand and lifestyle study in the Baltics. Its beginnings go back to 2004 and the creation of the “Latvijas Zīmolu tops”, and since 2013 the study has also been carried out in Lithuania and Estonia. To ensure that the data is representative, the study is conducted by “Norstat”, one of the leading and largest collectors of market research data in Europe.
The 2024 “Brand Capital” study compiled data on approximately 600 brands, surveying more than 3000 residents of the Baltic States, who answered almost 300 questions about their lifestyle and their attitudes towards brands.
