On 29 November, representatives from the management and supervisory boards of JSC “Latvijas valsts meži” (LVM) participated in the international “European Corporate Governance Conference 2022”. During the conference, special attention was paid to best practice examples of European companies in integrating environmental, social, and governance issues into corporate management and setting them as priorities at the strategic development level.

The conference was organised within the framework of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union in cooperation with leading organisations representing European companies and their management.

Promoting good corporate governance is important in public administration, the private sector, and the work of non-governmental organisations, as it ensures the transparency of decisions taken, sustainable development, the hearing of all stakeholders' views, and their balanced consideration, while upholding the rule of law.
