Is Europe’s ambitious course supported in all member states?

Over the last two years, almost everyone involved in forestry or agriculture has heard this phrase at least once. On the one hand, it has a supposedly noble goal, but there is one significant problem. People associated with the two aforementioned industries were not involved in its development. Following Austria, Germany, Finland, and also Poland, there are several questions, as well as critical remarks, regarding this document. In Poland, forest cover has approached one-third of the country's territory, which in percentage terms is less than in Latvia, but in terms of area reaches approximately 10 million hectares.

Unlike in Latvia, the majority of forests in Polish forestry (approximately 78%) are owned by the state. The strategy stipulates that the area of specially protected forests will reach 2.5–3 million hectares, thereby practically excluding the possibility of timber harvesting in stands over 80 years old.
