From 1 May in Lithuania, residents who did not receive land in urban areas can obtain a plot of forest, reports the Lithuanian news portal “respublika.lt”. On 1 May, amendments adopted by the Seimas of Lithuania to the Law on the Restoration of Citizens' Property Rights and Real Estate came into effect. Meanwhile, in Latvia, residents of urban apartment buildings are still struggling with legal aspects related to forced split property.
