“To promote efficient, knowledge-based, and sustainable resource management, we require data-driven research. This is particularly relevant given the ever-increasing intensity of agricultural land use and our shared goal: to ensure every square metre of cultivated land provides maximum added value with the lowest possible environmental impact.”
Soil has currently become one of the world's most endangered resources. Soil contains significant amounts of carbon and nitrogen which, depending on the land use, can also be released into the water and the atmosphere. This is undoubtedly linked to climate change. Land managers are increasingly needing to adopt environmentally friendly farming practices.
