Practical advice. What should you do if you hunt a mangy fox?

Mange is a highly contagious skin disease that poses a threat not only to animals but also to humans. The disease is caused by mites that burrow into the skin, causing extremely intense itching and irritation. By scratching, the animal tears out its own fur, leading to the formation of scabs.
This disease is one of the instruments for population regulation. While rabies has currently been eradicated to the maximum extent, mange is experiencing a boom, if one can call it that. Mangy foxes are seen very often because they can be spotted moving about even during the daylight hours. Raccoon dogs only appear in the dark, and it can usually be determined that they are sick only after they have been hunted.
One of the most effective ways to limit the spread of mange is intensive hunting of small predators. By culling mangy foxes, the spread of the disease is significantly reduced.
