In British overseas territories, tortoises, albatrosses and sharks will benefit greatly. Over the next three years, approx. £8m will be invested in environmental conservation projects across a number of territories, such as Tristan da Cunha, the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the Caribbean islands.

The Darwin Initiative, supported by the British government, will help whales in the waters around the Falkland Islands, albatrosses in the South Atlantic and green turtles on Ascension Island.
