Funding totalling 6.05 million euros will be available for forest stand regeneration and the improvement of ecological value, according to information published by the Rural Support Service (LAD) in the official gazette "Latvijas Vēstnesis".

Of this, six million euros will be available under the activity "Investments in improving the resilience and ecological value of forest ecosystems", while 50,000 euros will be available for the activity "Restoration of forest stands destroyed by forest fires and natural disasters".

Under the activity "Investments in improving the resilience and ecological value of forest ecosystems", funding will be available exclusively for the thinning of young stands.
