"It is becoming less common for household waste to be dumped in bin bags, though that still happens, of course. More often, people dump construction waste. The tyre season is just starting, and there are currently many tyres in the forests. That is why we are encouraging people to help clean them up. It is official as of today, but I would like to thank those who do it without being asked! We ask that you leave any collected waste in places where our staff can see and remove it. These include the waste bins we have placed in the forest or near our barriers at the ends of forest roads, where our transport can pull up and take everything away," says Uldis Gaiss, forester at Rīgas meži.
