The European Tree of the Year contest has been held since 2002 and is organised by organisations connected with forests, land, the environment, and history.
In Latvia, there are 6,675,600,290 trees (data from the Latvian National Forest Inventory).
We would like to remind voters: in this contest, the tree and the story are equally important.
