European management errors

Since May 2020, many local and European-level politicians have expressed doubt and concern regarding the activities and actions of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Environment in organising the ban on the use of lead ammunition in wetlands under the REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals).

It has been established that the Environmental Protection unit of the Directorate-General for Environment, in breach of the rules (*), actively encouraged the (national) representatives of the Member States serving on the expert group to participate vigorously in securing a positive vote (on the ban on the use of lead ammunition in wetlands), also involving representatives from other responsible units of the Directorate-General for Environment.(*https://www.zdechovsky.eu/userfiles/posts/May2020/Et3HeJqRfkACtljn8Zxd.pdf)

The consequences of such actions will affect several million European Union citizens. Furthermore, it is a question of a union of countries and institutions (the EU) that is based on strict principles of democracy, transparency, and the rule of law, which in this instance have not been observed.
