Campaigners seeking the reintroduction of the Eurasian lynx to Scotland are celebrating the results of a year-long consultation aimed at gauging public opinion on their ambitious plans.
The "Lynx to Scotland" study, conducted between March 2021 and February 2022, indicates there is sufficient public appetite to continue exploring the potential benefits and obstacles preventing the reintroduction of the large cats, which inhabited Scotland more than 500 years ago. (...)
