Around 100 people took part in the Battle of Kabile commemoration event on 16 January, among them young guards from Zemgale and Ventspils, representatives of the Z.A. Meierovica Kabiles pamatskola, National Guard veterans from Saldus and Kudīga, and the director of the Institute of Latvian History, Uldis Neiburgs. Representatives of the environmental section of the Forest Certification Council of Latvia also helped organise the commemoration.
