Following the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, well-founded concerns regarding food supplies and their security have increased within the European Union (and, of course, elsewhere in the world). Understandably, the daily or weekly expenditure of citizens when visiting food shops has also risen. All of this is understandable and visible, but at the same time, one can feel the active efforts of interested sectors and their lobbies, involving legislators, to somehow slow down or halt the implementation of EU environmental policy. Calls to revise EU laws, for example, are coming from producers of plant protection products...
