Drought, changing precipitation patterns, extreme weather, pests and diseases, and other consequences of climate change can seriously impact farm productivity, food production, and farmers' incomes. On her organic beef cattle farm in Estonia, Airi Külvet addresses these aforementioned issues by applying sustainable farming methods to benefit her farm and livestock, and to actively and positively impact the environment and climate. A. Külvet explains: "It is not complicated if you remember the goal: better soil, which will be more sustainable in the long term and provide a higher yield."
