Forest owner Valdis Kalns is the steward of his family estate. He earns his living through office work in Riga, but at weekends he can be found in the thickets of the Kuldīga forest. Here, he diligently tends to the woodland left by his ancestors with his own hands and shows his children how things are achieved through hard work. Valdis is a forest steward who is content with little, as he draws strength from his family and his four children, he confirmed on the Latvian Television programme “Meža stāsti”.
