Theory of war: why Putin chose a destructive war

There are four types of war, and each corresponds to the extreme limit of an idea. The categorisation or classification of these types is based on two parameters, which in turn are determined by two short questions. Both observers, participants, and the decision-makers who initiated, continued, and determined the course of the war should be able to answer these questions. The first: against whom are we fighting? The second: what are we fighting for, or what is the cause of the conflict? To the first question, there are two possible answers - one can fight against someone else or one can fight against ourselves. There is no reason to be surprised here, as in war there is a possibility that the enemy is among us.

To the second question, the answers could be as follows - a war can start and continue for material interests, and it can happen due to significant, even sacral issues, for example, in the resolution of internal political problems.
