"Naturally, a number of sectors are quite justifiably offended by this attitude, and they clearly see that they have projects on their hands that will genuinely yield good returns; these will be good investments in a wider context. At the same time, the movement from the involved state institutions is slow; one looks to the other as to who is supposed to fix the problem. There is no real formal communication, and there are no clear rules. We have seemingly fulfilled the requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers' regulations, but apparently, that is not enough," said Artūrs Bukonts, representative of the Forest Sector Competence Centre and executive director of the Latvian Forest Industry Federation.
