Forestry is necessary for the environment, necessary for employment, and necessary for the economy. Why is it discussed so little in climate talks?

The forest sector has so far been underutilised in the process (or plan) for reducing GHG emissions. As is well known, this process (or plan) aims for "net-zero emissions", meaning we put no more into the atmosphere than we take back out. Our forests sequester and store a great deal of carbon. A great deal! After harvesting, the carbon remains stored in the timber products we produce.

If the plan (whether local or international) is to prevent or at least slow down climate change, it is necessary to pay serious attention to the forest sector, which is directly linked and connected to renewable resources.
