China's first vertical forest city complex has been completed, providing a home for around 500 people and over 5,000 trees and shrubs. Usually, high-rise buildings do not spring to mind when thinking of greenery, but Italian architect Stefano Boeri has changed that line of thought. His latest project (Easyhome Huanggang Vertical Forest City Complex) covers 4.54 hectares and consists of two residential towers and three commercial high-rises.
