Logging Laboratory established at the Faculty of Forest Sciences

Continuing to improve and modernise the study environment, a Logging Laboratory has been established at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LLU) Faculty of Forest Sciences (MF).

“The logging industry has changed rapidly over the last decade, and we are keeping pace with this progress by providing students with the most up-to-date knowledge and by attempting to connect theory with practice as closely as possible. Therefore, this year we have created another new laboratory, where students will have the opportunity to learn more and gain a better understanding of what happens in logging,” says Linards Sisenis, Dean of the LLU MF.

It has already been reported that this year the LLU MF has equipped not only a Logging Laboratory but also a Hunting Laboratory, a Forest Protection and Phytopathology Laboratory, and, in cooperation with SIA "Husqvarna Latvija", a Power Tools Laboratory is also being developed.
