In the Vatnsfjörður Nature Reserve in Iceland, there are plans to "deploy" a floating platform or floating nest. The aim of this initiative is to make the area (Vantsdalsvatn lake) more attractive for red-throated divers to nest.

The Environment Agency of Iceland has authorised the implementation of this idea, considering that it will have a positive impact on the area.
